Role Of Education in Environment Protection

Environment   Oct 19, 2015 by Simran Kaur

Apart from conventional thinking and teaching, schools, institutions and other centres teach us the importance of environment the need to conserve it and save it from hazardous effects of pollution. THey give us a platform a drive a passion a motive. Recent steps towards clean environment like clean drive SWACH BHARAT ABHIYAAN have upgraded the levels of awareness and action. Schools across India have taken a initiative to spread awareness among youth so that at basic levels we can bring about a change. Policy research and Environment programmes have truly helped students to realize where are pollution level stands. It is truly sshocking to know that our capital New Delhi is the most polluted cities of the world and it is being medically advised to leave the city. It clearly points towards the rising population and pollution problem. I would appreciate the efforts of National Green Tribunal and JUdiciary to act vigilantly and cut down on the number of vehicles and reduce emissions generated by vehicles especially the rampant inclusion of outdated and old vehicles. Air pollution is the most dangerous and invariably affects all. I would like to appreciate the efforts of the Indian Government towards 'clean Ganga' strive to make Ganga pollution free (the most sacred river of India). Planting trees on sides of roadways is another initiative our Governments has taken

We as a nation really hope that change comes from within us and around us what we see around us is truly disheartening deforestation water pollution threatening the existence of marine life, air pollution levels rising to extreme levels affecting healths and also future of generations. I would also like to state the significant role of social media which has the potential of acting as a vital force to drive us towards actiona nd making us familiar towards every aspect of environment degradation.
